 The Other Woman
I'm very much in love with a woman I think is absolutely amazing. Do you want to know what the biggest barrier to our relationship was? She's married - or more accurately, involved in a once-committed relationship with another human being.
Her husband frankly doesn't deserve her. He drinks, takes drugs, lies about it... They have a lot of problems, which is a big reason why they're breaking up. It wasn't just because of me. But our relationship has been going on for some time, and it's amazingly painful to be in love with someone who's involved in another relationship.
You could say that it's my own fault for sticking with this, but she was my best friend before we fell in love, and we certainly never intended to have an affair. It got so being apart hurt worse than being together, so I went with it.
Now they're breaking up - and that, too, is tearing my beloved apart. Because she does still care for her ex even if she's not in love with him any more, and the constant betrayals have hurt him.
One day though, I'm sure of it, he will find a woman who is better for him, and at the same time, my beloved and me will live happily ever after.
