 Easy as Making Cake!
I am a chef and had been baking for years, I guess I should tell you that I am a teacher at a local vocational school. I had been telling my sister that she could come to my classes for free and sit in anytime she just needed out of the house. Well, I had also told my longtime lover that she could start taking my class as my assistant so that she could learn a little about cooking and start making me great dinners as well.
My lesbian preferences have never been revealed my family and relatives as I thought it was really none of their business. Three weeks into my latest course, my sister shows up unannounced and proceeded to tell me that she is moving out of my mothers house and that she is coming to stay with me. Lilly, my lover, had recently only moved in with me two weeks earlier and we just stared at each other not knowing what to say.
After class I took my sister home with Lilly and I where I continued to tell her about my life, how I may live a little differently than she might think but that she is welcome to stay if she still would like. She proceeds to tell me that the reason that she was moving out of my mothers house was because mother had caught her with her own girlfriend!
I never would have thought that both my sister and I would have made this choice not knowing that the other was thinking about it as well. Now my mother knows about both of our life choices and she is learning to accept them.
While my story may be a little unusual I just wanted to share it so that other women who are making life choices know that their own families will understand and still love them no matter what!
